Overall the park was nice. The spot we had was right by the front near the highway. Our a/c's took away any highway noise. There was a tree in the way so we could not go forward to leave, we had to back out. We have a 40 ft motorhome. The people in the office were very nice and friendly. They led us to our spot upon arriving. Each site is gravel and asphalt mix. There are very few trees throughout the park if you are looking for shade. The entrance is backwards - you go in on your left (northside) and go out on your left (southside).

There are not really any shaded sites. This is a fairly new RV park and the trees are small. Eventually there will be shade but that will take years. They are adding on to the park also. I used the laundry room and it was clean. This was the first laundry room on my trip that the dryers actually dried my clothes completely. Price above is with a discount - Good Sam. Each Saturday in summer is a potluck dinner.

All sites are grass and large and you don't have to unhook to get into your site. There is plenty of room between each site. It was a little pricey but in checking around all of them in this area were pricey. This one is out west of town 7 miles or so. When I tried other parks, they were full.

This campground was very nice but as with most all government campgrounds, you can have campfires and it seemed like most everyone had to have a campfire. With there not being any wind the smoke hung in the air. You could not site outside and enjoy the nice cool evenings. I would really be nice if campfires were outlawed in government campgrounds. This was our only complaint with the campground.

First: I was surprised how easy it was to make reservations online. Much easier than any US National or State Park online. Second: we loved the way they kept RV's separate from tenters. Our biggest complaint: no water at the sites. It they went to the trouble to run electricity, why not water? Next: the way the sites were set up, most motorhomes could not open onto the picnic table pad unless you had and electrical cord long enough to run under your RV. If not, you had to face away from the table area. Also, it would have been nicer if they could have assigned those of us staying longer term in one area and the overnighters in another. Four of our 6-day stay, we had new neighbors. With 189 sites, we would have preferred a site in the back area out of the way. Some sites are cramped and others are nice and large. We saw larger RV's assigned to small sites and little cabovers in big spots. Finally: this park is right by the train tracks with trains and whistles blowing day and night. Canada is a beautiful place and we will be going back one day.

We were very satisfied with the park, they were waiting for us when we arrived around 7PM. One of the hosts directed us right into a site and helped get us set up before I went to the office to pay. The laundry room was clean and even had an ironing board for your use, only thing they did not have a coin changer so I had to go across the street to get change. The pads are asphalt along with the roads, grass inbetween each with tables. It is a very nice park and the people hosting are very nice and helpful.

Very nice park. Asphalt streets, concrete/gravel sites with concrete carparking. Grass inbetween. Very nice set up. Across from golf course.

This is a nice park with grass sites and gravel drives. There are some shaded sites. Most of the park does get shaded until in the afternoon as the sun goes down. This was a good place to stop on our way out of Canada and back to the US. The price was good and this was with a discount.

We did not actually stay at the campground. We tried to but could not. When I called while in route I was told there were many spaces available that would hold our 40 foot motorhome. We were 30 minutes out. When we got there, the lady said there was one spot we could get into, it was 40 foot and to drive the motorhome to it and park and come back. We drove in and there was no way we could even try to back it into the spot. Besides, there was another RV already in the spot. The road was too small to hold "big rig" rv's as the state ad said in the Woodall's directory. This campground was listed as one of those that was for "Big Rigs". So, from what we could tell, don't try this park if you are a large rv. In fact a guy at the window behind me said he had a hard time getting his 34 foot trailer in a 38 foot site.

It was hard to maneuver our 40 ft motorhome around the oak trees. These oaks are low and wind swept. You have to be careful to not side swipe your coach on one of them. The direction they told us to go, we had to back up to make the turn on the corner. The streets are tight for turning a large coach. They are concrete along with the pads being concrete. The space between is sandy with some vegetation.

Too dusty, watch out for the dust storms. We had two while we stayed here. Dust got everywhere. We are still finding dust in the weirdest places a month later. Laundry room to small especiallly if locals are using it also. Sites are dirt, no asphalt, gravel or concrete anywhere. Gets muddy when rains. Price too high for what you get.

We happened upon this state park and it is a very neat place to stay for the night. There are some of the most unusual formations in the park. The siltstone and clay shale have made cracks or "caves" into the sides of the cliffs. They go back into the cliff and you feel like you are in a cave but the top is open. It is cool in them. If you ever are in this area, do stop and check them out.
